The British Muslim community expresses its delight, satisfaction and congratulates millions of Muslims from all over the world on performing a safe Hajj this year. It is a great relief that with the blessing of Allah (SWT), there have been no major incidents or tragedies reported during this year’s Hajj.
Khalid Pervez, General Secretary of Association of British Hujjaj (Pilgrims) UK, a National Hajj/Umrah specific organisation said “It has only been possible because of the hard work and highest level of services provided by King Abdullah, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety and welfare of the Guests of Allah (SWT) by improving the infrastructure and facilities around the Holy places.”
Also in the past, due to lack of awareness of health, safety, and other aspects of performing Hajj, Pilgrims had been suffering from significant difficulties and hardship and were not able to perform the Hajj & Umrah in the safest and best possible manner.
Therefore, Association of British Hujjaj (Pilgrims) UK strongly urges all relevant countries that lessons must be learned from past experiences and training programs should be made mandatory for these prospective pilgrims to perform a safe Hajj & Umrah. They should make every effort to promote an awareness culture amongst their prospective Pilgrims.
